Families First Coronavirus Response Act requires employers to provide paid leave for some employees related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, among other measures. Find links to resources for your business.
DSPS, Construction & Inspections
Instead of having a strict 10-business-day deadline for approving or denying a building permit, Governor Evers' Order #22 provides that the action to approve or deny a uniform building permit application shall be completed within “a reasonable amount of time after receipt of all forms, fees, plans and documents required to process the application, and completion of other local prerequisite permitting requirements.” Effective immediately on April 9, 2020
Pandemic Unemployment Assistance
PUA is a federal benefit available to workers who are unable to work as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and do not qualify for Regular Unemployment Insurance (UI). This includes: Independent contractors, Self-employed workers, Non-profit employees, Part-time workers who do not have enough work history to be eligible for a claim
