Built from the ground up on the water in Whitewater, this new lakehouse was designed around one idea: every important room should face the lake.
Monien Construction carried the home from excavation to final walkthrough with a single owner led crew, framing generous window openings, detailing the outdoor living spaces to take lake weather, and finishing the interior with the custom carpentry the company is known for. In the evening the glazing turns the house into a lantern over the shoreline.
It is a new build with the settled, crafted feel of a home that has always belonged here.

Monien Construction is an owner led builder of custom homes and fine renovations in the lake country of southeastern Wisconsin, building since 2008.
Founder Nick Monien runs one crew and takes a limited number of commissions each year, so every client works directly with the builder himself. From excavation to final trim, the craftsmanship is held to one standard because one person is accountable for all of it. Monien Construction was voted Best New Home Builder in Walworth County in 2022, and its clients say the same thing in different words: they would choose Monien again.
