As the saying goes: The more things change, the more things stay the same. And it certainly applies to the 30th Annual LBA Parade of Homes! The Parade was started back in 1990 for LBA builder members to showcase their work to the public with the latest "State of the Art" products and building techniques
The 1990 State of the Art features included intercom systems, whirlpool tubs, three-car garage, Corian countertops, and home plans developed using Computer Aided Design (CAD). The superior energy efficiently of windows, insulation and HVAC systems was widely promoted. The first LBA Parade of Homes was great success, and in the years following there was typically 20 or more homes each Parade in a wide variety of sizes, styles, price points and features.
The next era brought continued popularity of the event showcasing some of the most amazing homes built on the lakefronts of Lake Geneva, Delavan, Lauderdale, Whitewater and on estates at Geneva National. Parade goers could "dream big" for the small price of a Parade ticket. Better yet - there were many other beautiful homes in the Parade more relatable in both size and amenities to the average homebuyer. It was fun to see all the possibilities available!
In the beginning as well as today - when you visit the Parade of Homes, you get the opportunity to see beautiful custom homes with the very latest in design and features. It's exciting to see newest design trends (Farmhouse and Transitional design; Outdoor Living spaces) and the "must have" products that gain traction with the public. (Hello Smarthomes, elevators, and high-tech Showering systems!) This year get ready for a "Barn-dominium" style home and the latest design in an "Active Adult Living" home on the Parade. The LBA Parade of Homes is always a great opportunity for the builder, trade member and supplier members to showcase their work and the latest products, and strengthen their reputation.
We sincerely hope you take the time to go to the 2019 Parade of Homes! With four very unique custom homes and one remodeled home, you are sure to fit viewing them all on a weekend, and maybe end up discovering the next builder of your dream home.
The 30th Annual 2019 Parade of Homes is the weekend of September 14 and 15. Check the LBA website for home details, maps and builder information.
